PERBANDINGAN KONSENTRASI DOPING NITROGEN DAN PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN ADITIF PADA KATALIS PT/NGO UNTUK KATODA PROTON EXCHANGE MEMBRANE FUEL CELL (PEMFC)
This study focuses on enhancing the performance of the PEMFC cathode by developing platinum-based catalysts supported on nitrogen-doped graphene oxide (N-GO). The aim of this research is to compare the performance of Pt/NGO catalysts with N-GO ratios of 1:1 and 12:1, as well as to investigate the effect of acid and surfactant additives on N-GO toward the performance of the PEMFC cathode. The preparation of the GDE began with the synthesis of N-GO via the hydrothermal method, followed by the synthesis of Pt/NGO catalysts through a chemical reduction method. Characterization was carried out using Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA) and X-Ray Diffraction (XRD). TGA characterization revealed that the Pt contents in the Pt/NGO1, Pt/NGO2, and Pt/NGO3 catalysts were 48.37%, 44.61%, and 51.58%, respectively. XRD analysis of the Pt/NGO2 catalyst showed Pt diffraction peaks at 39.51°, 46.03°, and 67.30°, while the Pt/NGO3 catalyst exhibited peaks at 44.40°, 51.02°, and 72.20°. The electrochemical performance of the Pt/NGO catalysts was evaluated using Cyclic Voltammetry (CV), Linear Sweep Voltammetry (LSV), and polarization curve analysis. The test results indicated that the Pt/NGO1 catalyst, prepared with an N-GO ratio of 1:1 and the addition of acid and surfactant, exhibited the best electrochemical performance, with an Electrochemical Surface Area (ECSA) of 42.3 m²/gPt and a mass activity of 1.9 mA/mgPt.
