High rainfall can affect many thing in mining operational activities, therefore an optimal drainage system is needed to handle water from entering the minig area. The aim of this research is to determine the optima drainage system planning process for the research location. Rainfall will be calculated using the Gumbel method, the result of calculation for 10 years is 145.19 mm/day. With a Mining area of 26.2 Ha and a Cathchment Area of 11.6 Ha, the runoff discharge of water that entering the sump is 7,979,796 m^3/jam and the sump volume is 843.534.079 m^3.
