PERAN NCB-INTERPOL INDONESIA DALAM PENANGANAN KEJAHATAN CYBERCRIME PHISHING
The development of information and communication technology has had a significant impact on various aspects of life, including the rise of cybercrime, one of which is Phishing. This crime has become an increasingly complex threat, especially with the growing number of internet users in Indonesia. This research aims to analyze the role of the National Central Bureau (NCB)-Interpol Indonesia in addressing Cybercrime Phishing, using Clive Archer's international organization theory which divides the roles of organizations into instruments, arenas, and actors. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data is obtained through literature studies from various official sources, such as reports from NCB-Interpol Indonesia, Interpol Global, as well as real case studies related to Phishing handled by NCB-Interpol Indonesia. The research results show that in addressing crime. The role of Interpol in cybercrime phishing is as an instrument, coordinating cross-border law enforcement in accordance with international policies; as a platform, facilitating international cooperation in cybercrime investigations including phishing; and as an independent actor with its own rules that cannot be interfered with for personal interests. This research concludes that the role of NCB-Interpol Indonesia is very strategic in addressing phishing threats through global cooperation, cyber investigations, and more comprehensive preventive efforts. Strengthening policies, improving digital literacy among the public, and optimizing international cooperation are necessary to reduce the threat of phishing crimes.
