PENGARUH TINGKAT LITERASI MEDIA TERHADAP PERILAKU PENYEBARAN HOAKS DI TIKTOK PADA SISWA SMAN 10 PALEMBANG
The Influence of Media Literacy Level on Hoax Spreading Behavior on Tiktok Among Students at SMA Negeri 10 Palembang. This study aims to examine the influence of media literacy level on hoax spreading behaviour on Tiktok among students at SMA Negeri 10 Palembang. A quantitative approach using a survey method and simple linear regression analysis technique was employed. The sample consisted of 100 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire that measured the respondents media literacy level and hoax spreading behaviour. The media literacy theory by David Buckingham was used to explain the importance of individuals ability to analyse, evaluate, and produce information found in the media. The results show that media literacy level significantly influences hoax spreading behaviour, with an Adjusted R-Square value of 0.463. this indicates that media literacy level can explain 46.3% of the variation in hoax spreading behaviour among students, while the remaining 53.7% is influenced by other factors not covered in this study.
