PERAN SAVE THE CHILDREN DALAM PENURUNAN ANGKA STUNTING DI INDONESIA MELALUI PROGRAM BISA (BETTER INVESTMENT FOR STUNTING ALLEVIATION) TAHUN 2019-2024
The high prevalence of stunting in Indonesia reflects a chronic nutrition problem that has not been optimally addressed, particularly in areas with limited access to basic services. The government has set a target to reduce stunting to 14% by 2024, yet progress remains uneven. This study aims to analyze the role of Save the Children in reducing stunting through the BISA Program (Better Investment for Stunting Alleviation) from 2019 to 2024. This study adopts an analytical framework based on David Lewis and Nazneen Kanji’s classification of INGO roles: as implementer, catalyst, and partner. The research applies a descriptive qualitative method using literature review and documentation techniques. The findings indicate that the BISA Program made a significant contribution through resource mobilization, cadre training, community-based nutrition education, and collaboration with Nutrition International and local governments. The intervention has been proven to improve Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) practices, increase Iron and Folic Acid (IFA) supplement consumption, and reduce chronic energy deficiency (CED) among pregnant women in priority areas.
