SISTEM PENDETEKSI KEBISINGAN SUARA DI PERPUSTAKAAN UNIVERSITAS SRIWIJAYA DENGAN PERINGATAN SUARA DAN NOTIFIKASI BERBASIS INTERNET OF THINGS (IOT)
Noise in the library can disrupt users' concentration and comfort. According to the Decree of the State Minister for the Environment No. KEP-48/MENLH/11/1996, the ideal noise level in a library is 45–55 dB(A). This study aims to design a noise detection system based on the Internet of Things (IoT) that can provide automatic alerts. The system uses a MAX4466 sound sensor and an ESP32 microcontroller to measure noise levels in decibels (dB). If the noise level exceeds the 55 dB threshold, the system activates a buzzer and sends notifications via Telegram and Blynk, while also recording data in real time to a Google Spreadsheet. The methods used include literature study, observation, and consultation. Testing was conducted at the Universitas Sriwijaya library. Out of 15 test data, 9 indicated a noisy condition and 6 a quiet condition. The system responded consistently according to the detected condition. These results indicate that the system works effectively in detecting noise and delivering alerts. It is expected to help maintain a quiet environment in the library.
