SISTEM PENGELOLAAN ADMINISTRASI AKADEMIK KAMPUS MENGGUNAKAN BLOCKCHAIN BERBASIS PROOF-OF-AUTHORITY DI FAKULTAS ILMU KOMPUTER UNIVERSITAS SRIWIJAYA
The academic administration system at the Faculty of Computer Science, Sriwijaya University, remains semi-digital and fragmented, causing inefficiency, human error risks, and lack of transparency and document authenticity. This research designs a blockchain-based academic administration system using a Proof-of-Authority (PoA) consensus mechanism to enhance efficiency, transparency, and security of academic documents. The Design Science Research Methodology (DSRM) was employed, developing a prototype with Hyperledger Besu, smart contracts (Solidity), and a web interface (Next.js). The system focuses on four documents: Active Student Certificate, Tuition Fee-Free Certificate, Library-Free Certificate, and Laboratory-Free Certificate. Implementation results demonstrate successful automation of validation processes, real-time tracking, and document authenticity assurance via Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs). User Acceptance Testing (UAT) evaluation yielded usability and reliability scores of 83.56% and 86.5%, indicating operational readiness. This system offers an innovative solution for digital transformation in academic administration.
