ANALISIS FAKTOR - FAKTOR KEPATUHAN MENGONSUMSI TABLET FE PADA IBU SELAMA HAMIL DI UPT PUSKESMAS MUARADUA KISAM
Anemia during pregnancy is a serious health issue that can lead to complications such as preterm birth, low birth weight (LBW), postpartum hemorrhage, and even maternal death. One of the main causes of the high prevalence of anemia is the low compliance of pregnant women in taking iron (Fe) tablets, with non-compliance rates remaining quite high. Compliance is influenced by various internal and external factors. This study aimed to analyze the factors affecting the compliance of pregnant women in consuming iron tablets in the working area of Puskesmas Muaradua Kisam. This study used a quantitative method with a retrospective approach. The population consisted of 222 mothers, with a sample of 69 respondents selected through purposive sampling based on inclusion criteria, namely postpartum mothers visiting the posyandu. Data were analyzed bivariately using the chi-square test. The bivariate test results showed that knowledge (p = 0.005) and attitude (p = 0.037) were significantly associated with compliance in consuming iron tablets. Logistic regression results indicated that attitude was the most influential factor affecting compliance, with an Odds Ratio (OR) of 0.275. Pregnant women's attitudes play an important role in compliance with iron tablet consumption. Health interventions should not only focus on increasing knowledge but also on developing positive attitudes to improve adherence during pregnancy.
