Research on the prevalence of radiopaque lesion findings remained very limited, while information related to radiopaque lesions was necessary to help establish an accurate diagnosis. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the prevalence of radiopaque lesion findings on panoramic radiographs at the RSKGM of South Sumatra Province. Methods: This type of research was a descriptive observational with a total sample of 5915 panoramic radiographs taken during the period of August 2023 – April 2025 at RSKGM of South Sumatra Province. The Data were analyzed using statistical analysis software. Results: A total of 2249 cases of radiopaque lesions were found among the 5915 panoramic radiographs examined. The identified radiopaque lesions included 1846 cases of dense bone island (31.21%), 360 cases of condensing osteitis (6.09%), 5 cases of periapical cemento-osseous dysplasia (0.08%), 25 cases of focal cemento-osseous dysplasia (0.42%), 3 cases of florid cemento-osseous dysplasia (0.05%), 9 cases of compound odontoma (0.15%), and 1 case of cementoblastoma (0.02%).
