The Methacrylic Acid Factory is planned to be located in Gunungsugih Village, Ciwandan District, Cilegon City, Banten, Indonesia. This factory covers an area of 6 hectares with a production capacity of 30,000 tons per year. The methacrylic acid manufacturing process is carried out using the methacrolein to methacrylic acid process, where methacrolein is reacted with oxygen in a Fixed Bed Multitubular Reactor at a temperature of 270ºC and a pressure of 1.1 atm. The catalyst used is Heteropolyacid. This factory is a Limited Liability Company with a line and staff organizational system, led by a president director with 106 employees. This methacrylic acid manufacturing plant is declared feasible to be established by meeting the following economic parameters: - Total Capital Invesment = $ 70,856,407.87 - Total Production Cost = $ 57,505,282.60 - Annual Cash Flow = $ 25,645,384.82 - Pay Out Time (POT) = 2.57 tahun - Rate of Return on Investment (ROR) = 28.19% - Discounted Cash Flow ROR (DCF-ROR) = 30.95% - Break Even Point (BEP) = 31.19% - Service Life = 11 tahun Keywords : Methacrylic Acid, methacrolein to methacrylic acid, Limited Liability Company.
