PERAN AIESEC IN UNSRI DALAM PENGIMPLEMENTASIAN SDGs 6, 4, dan 12 PASCA PANDEMI COVID-19 MELALUI PROGRAM LOCAL PROJECT TAHUN 2023 – 2024
Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) play a significant role in supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). AIESEC in Unsri, as part of a youth-led NGO, demonstrates its contribution through the implementation of Local Projects focusing on SDGs 4 (quality education), 6 (clean water and sanitation), and 12 (responsible consumption and production). This research adopts a descriptive qualitative method with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. Referring to the concept of NGO roles by David Lewis and Nazneen Kanji, this study explores three key dimensions of AIESEC in Unsri's role: as a catalyst, implementer, and partner. As a catalyst, AIESEC raises public awareness of the SDGs through campaigns and collaboration with governments. As an implementer, it carries out Local Projects such as Filternesia, Seruni, and Greenesia, serving as platforms for education and direct action in the community. Meanwhile, its partner role is realized through partnerships with various stakeholders to ensure program sustainability. These three roles illustrate AIESEC in Unsri’s ongoing efforts to contribute meaningfully to the implementation of the SDGs.
