The methyl acetate manufacturing plant with a capacity of 50,000 tons/year is planned to be established in 2031 in the Kariangau area, Balikpapan City, East Kalimantan Province which is estimated to have an area of 1.3 Ha. The production process of methyl acetate also refers to the Patent CN118479966A by performing an esterification reaction between acetic acid and methanol with the help of an Amberlyst-15 catalyst inside a fixed bed multitube reactor. The form of company that will be used in this factory is a Limited Liability Company (PT) with a line and staff organizational system, led by a Director with a total of 106 employees. Based on the results of the economic analysis, this methyl acetate plant is considered feasible to be established because it has met various economic feasibility parameters, which are as follows:
