PENERAPAN PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS ETNOMATEMATIKA DENGAN KONTEKS MASJID AGUNG PALEMBANG BERBANTUAN VIDEO ANIMASI PADA SISWA SMP
Fostering student interest in learning is important. But in fact, student interest in mathematics is still very lacking. Many students think that math is a difficult subject. One solution that can be given is to use ethnomathematics with animated videos in learning mathematics. This study aims to describe how the learning interest of ninth grade students of SMP Negeri 20 Palembang in the application of ethnomathematics-based learning with the context of the Palembang Great Mosque using animated videos. This study used a descriptive method. The subjects in this study were 63 students from class IX.7 and IX.10 with both given the same treatment. Based on the questionnaire score, 82.5% of students have high interest in learning and 17.5% of students have moderate interest in learning. Through observations and interviews, most students also showed a love and interest in learning mathematics using animated videos and the context of the Palembang Great Mosque. So it can be concluded that the learning interest of ninth grade students of SMP Negeri 20 Palembang in the application of ethnomathematics-based learning with the context of the Palembang Grand Mosque using animated videos is in the moderate to high learning interest category.
