In achieving and improving equitable distribution of superior education Minister of Education and Culture Regulation Number 1 of 2021 concerning Admission of New Students (PPDB) which aims to guarantee the acceptance of new students in a targeted, accountable, transparent and without discrimination in order to encourage increased access to educational services . Lack of knowledge causes confusion regarding this zoning system as well as the community's lack of understanding regarding the zoning system and limited capacity at SMP N 1 Talang which causes not all students to be accepted. This research is qualitative in nature using a descriptive analysis approach. Data collection techniques used include observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research show that the implementation of Minister of Education and Culture Regulation Number 1 of 2021 concerning Admission of New Students was carried out effectively and well. The positive impact of this zoning system policy is equal distribution of education and the negative impact is that students who are in the zone cannot be accepted.
