REPRESENTASI MAKNA PERSAHABATAN DALAM VIDEO MUSIK “KITA KE SANA” KARYA HINDIA (ANALISIS SEMIOTIKA ROLAND BARTHES)
This research analyzes the representation of the meaning of friendship in the music video Kita ke Sana by Hindia using Roland Barthes' semiotic approach. The purpose of this research is to identify how the meaning of friendship is represented through the three levels of meaning in Barthes' theory, namely denotation, connotation, and myth, and to examine DeVito's theory of friendship which includes utility, affirmation, ego support, stimulation, and security. This research uses a qualitative method with semiotic analysis. Data were obtained through music video observation and analysis of visual elements, lyrics, and symbols. The results show that at the denotation level, the video depicts the characters' social interactions in daily life. At the connotation level, visual symbols build the meaning of friendship that reflects affirmation through togetherness, ego support in emotional support, and stimulation in shared adventures. At the mythic level, the video reinforces the idea that friendship shapes an individual's social identity, in line with the concepts of utility and security in DeVito's theory. The conclusion shows that this music video effectively represents the meaning of friendship in a digital social and cultural context. This study provides insights into how popular media convey social and emotional values through visual and symbolic narratives.
