PROSES KONSENTRASI SILIKA PADA PENGOLAHAN LIMBAH BOTTOM ASH BATUBARA DENGAN ASAM SITRAT MURNI DAN ASAM SULFAT MENGGUNAKAN ALAT ANALISA X-RAY FLUORESCENCE
Coal is usually used for Steam Power Plants (PLTU). One of the subsidiaries of PT Bukit Asam Tbk. namely PT Bukit Energi Servis Terpadu (PT BEST) at PLTU Banko Barat Tanjung Enim, South Sumatra with a capacity of 3x10 MW. This research was carried out because the use of coal in industry as fuel is increasing, which has an impact on the amount of waste produced. This research was carried out by taking bottom ash samples at the PT Bukit Asam Steam Power Plant (PLTU) (Banko Barat 3x10MW). Which then uses a literature review, and data collection as primary and secondary data, data processing as well as conclusions and recommendations. From the research carried out there is SiO2 mineral in coal bottom ash waste from samples before processing and is the most dominant among other oxide minerals. From several samples tested and analyzed using x-ray fluorescence, the average SiO2 content was found to be 64.79%. SiO2 mineral content based on the results of analysis using an x-ray fluorescence tool after processing showed an increase in maximum levels with 8M sulfuric acid solution of 79.44%. Meanwhile, the process with pure citric acid solution does not show an increase in SiO2 levels even at high concentrations. From the comparison between citric acid and sulfuric acid, the SiO2 mineral concentration obtained with sulfuric acid can be used as a raw material for making nano silica, cement industry, acid mine drainage and also making shiners or polishers.
