HUBUNGAN PERSPECTIVE TAKING DENGAN MARITAL ADJUSTMENT PADA PASANGAN DUAL-EARNER
This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between perspective taking and marital adjustment among dual-earner couples. The hypothesis proposed in this research is that there is a significant relationship between perspective taking and marital adjustment. This research employed a quantitative method, with respondents consisting of dual-earner couples who have toddlers. The study involved a total of 200 respondents, along with 50 trial respondents, all of whom were dual-earners. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The measurement tools used included a marital adjustment scale based on the aspects proposed by Spanier (1976), and a perspective taking scale based on the aspects proposed by William (2012). Data analysis was conducted using Pearson’s product-moment correlation technique. The results of the analysis showed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05) with a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.639. These findings indicate a significant positive relationship between perspective taking and marital adjustment — the higher the level of perspective taking, the higher the level of marital adjustment, and vice versa.
