MODEL INVENTORI UNTUK BARANG FARMASI YANG DETERIORATING DENGAN TINGKAT PERMINTAAN LINIER DAN MEMPERTIMBANGKAN TINGKAT PENYIMPANAN KUADRATIK
Inventory management is a key element in ensuring the continuity of operational activities in a business entity, including in the pharmaceutical sector, which heavily relies on product availability. This study aims to develop an inventory management model that considers product deterioration due to storage over time, as well as fluctuations in demand. Common issues such as stockouts frequently arise due to inadequate inventory control and inefficient management systems. The proposed model incorporates linear demand characteristics and accounts for storage costs that increase quadratically over time. Optimization results indicate that the time when inventory reaches zero 〖(t〗_1^*) is 0.609, with an optimal cycle length 〖(T〗_1^*) of 0.932, and a minimum average total cost (TC) ̅ of $313.77 per cycle. Calculations were carried out using the WolframAlpha software. Sensitivity analysis reveals that (TC) ̅ increases across all tested parameter variations. This indicates that changes in model parameters have a direct impact on cost efficiency, highlighting the importance of proper parameter management in the implementation of the model
