This study aims to analyze the Effectiveness of the Traditional Bidar Boat Festival in the Development of the Musi River by the Palembang City Tourism Office. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with interview and observation techniques to collect data. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the implementation of the Traditional Bidar Boat Festival by the Palembang City Tourism Office in supporting the preservation of local culture and the development of the tourism sector. The results of the study indicate that this festival has been implemented effectively and in accordance with its initial objectives. The performance of the Tourism Office employees is considered professional, with high coordination, discipline, and responsibility in every stage of the implementation of the activity. This festival also succeeded in integrating the active participation of the community, especially residents around the Musi River, who were involved as participants, local committees, and MSME actors, so that it had a direct impact on strengthening culture and empowering and improving the community's economy.
