PENGARUH FOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENT, PENGELUARAN PEMERINTAH, DAN TRADE OPENNESS TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN EKONOMI DI NEGARA NEGARA BRICS
This study aims to analyze the effect of foreign direct investment, government spending, and trade openness on economic growth in BRICS countries, which consist of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. This study uses secondary data analyzed by panel data regression method. The results of the study with the Random Effect Model (REM) approach analysis model show that foreign direct investment and trade openness have a positive and significant effect on economic growth in contrast to the government expenditure variable which has a negative and significant effect on economic growth. This finding indicates that foreign direct investment and trade openness encourage economic growth in BRICS countries, while government spending has a negative impact, possibly due to inefficient allocation. More appropriate fiscal policies and support for the investment climate are needed.
