ANALISIS STRATEGI PENANGANAN LIMBAH KONSTRUKSI PADA PEMBANGUNAN GEDUNG RAWAT INAP RUMAH SAKIT DR. MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG
The analysis of construction waste management strategies is a systematic approach to identifying, evaluating, and designing effective efforts to reduce and manage the impact of waste during the construction process. One project that faces challenges related to construction waste is the inpatient building development project at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Hospital in Palembang. Field observations indicate that most of the construction waste in this project originates from casting, rework, and wall installation activities, in the form of formwork wood, concrete residue, iron cuttings, and fragments of Hebel bricks. The aim of this study is to analyze the appropriate construction waste management strategies for this project. The number of respondents in this study is 30 people, divided among the consultant team, contractor, and subcontractors responsible for the project. Data processing was conducted using Microsoft Excel and SPSS programs. Based on the data analysis results, five strategies with the highest average scores were identified: preventing excessive material ordering, reducing rework during the construction phase, establishing an organizational structure involved in construction waste management, shortening the waste collection period at the project site, and designing a waste storage area from the early stages of construction. These strategies were then further analyzed using the SWOT method to align with actual field conditions.
