This research examines the efforts to preserve the local wisdom of pineapple leaf fiber woven fabric in Gunung Ibul Village, Prabumulih City. Textile activities in Indonesia have developed since 1922, with woven fabric functioning as a symbol of social status and having economic potential. The technique of making woven fabric involves alternating the combination of warp and weft threads. Pineapple leaf fiber is a vegetable fiber with cellulose as its main component. Using a qualitative approach, this research analyzes community preservation efforts. Results show that preservation challenges include low interest among the younger generation, limited capital, and lack of innovation in marketing and product design. Despite government support, improvements in aid distribution and training quality are still needed. Collaboration between craftsmen, government, academics, and the private sector is essential for the industry's sustainability. The research concludes that with updated marketing strategies, increased access to training, use of digital technology, and inclusive policies, pineapple fiber woven fabric has great potential to develop into a regional superior product. Keywords: local wisdom, woven fabric, pineapple leaf fiber, cultural preservation, creative economy, Prabumulih.
