The prevalence of Pediculosis capitis is quite high, especially in crowded environments such as Islamic boarding schools. Currently, there have not been many educational efforts using media that is suitable for the characteristics of school-aged children, particularly in boarding school. The educational medium in this study uses BUPETIS, which is a small printed media containing systematic information about Pediculosis capitis. This study aims to determine the effect of education using BUPETIS (Pediculosis Capitis Pocket Book) on the increase in knowledge of female students regarding Pediculosis capitis. This research uses a pre experimental design with a one group pretest-posttest design. The research population consists of female students in grades VII and VIII, with a sample size of 61 respondents selected using stratified random sampling technique. Data analysis was conducted using non-parametric statistical tests with marginal homogeneity tests. The analysis results indicate a significant difference in the level of knowledge of the female students before and after being provided education using BUPETIS. The p value obtained from the marginal homogeneity test is 0.000 (p value < 0.05), indicating that there is a significant effect of the educational intervention on the respondents' knowledge improvement. Health education using BUPETIS media has proven effective in increasing knowledge about Pediculosis capitis among female students in the pesantren. This booklet media can be used as a promotional tool for health that is applicable, easy to use, and suitable for the educational target needs.
