TRANSNATIONAL ADVOCACY NETWORK DALAM PENANGGULANGAN PERNIKAHAN ANAK DI WEST KAJIADO STUDI KASUS: ALIANSI YES I DO
Child Marriage is a global issue because it deprives children of their rights to health, physical well-being, and mental health, as well as the right to education. Over the years, numerous non-governmental organisations have attempted to address this issue in various countries. However, the prevalence of child marriage remains high. This is due to push factors that intersect with tradition and economic circumstances. The Yes I Do Alliance, a combination of five Dutch non-governmental organisations, intervened in one of Kenya’s Sub-Counties, namely West Kajiado, for the 2016-2020 period. This study uses a qualitative method with Margaret E. Keck and Kathryn Sikkink’s Transnational Advocacy Network (TAN) theory to analyse Yes I Do’s advocacy network strategy towards the child marriage phenomenon in West Kajiado.
