This study aims to describe the Learning Motivation of Students in General Subjects at the High School Level at the Sa'adatud Daroien Islamic Boarding School in Palembang. This study is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The population used in this study was all high school students at the Sa'adatud Daroien Islamic Boarding School in Palembang with a total of 48 students at the Sa'adatud Daroien Islamic Boarding School in Palembang. The sampling technique in this study used a saturated sample, namely using the entire population of 48 students. Data collection techniques used were questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The validity test of the instrument used the Pearson Product Moment correlation formula and reliability used Alpha Cronbach. The results of the study showed that the indicators of student learning motivation in general subjects were the desire and desire to succeed with a percentage of 68.5-, the encouragement and need to learn 68.5-, the hope or ideals for the future 68.8-, the appreciation in learning 70.8-, the existence of interesting activities in learning 49.1-, the existence of a conducive learning environment, so that a student can learn well 69.6-. Overall, the learning motivation of students in general subjects at the high school level at the Sa'adatud Daroien Islamic Boarding School in Palembang, seen from the learning motivation indicators, obtained an average of 67.0- with a sufficient category.
