This research aims to develop a media creativity book with the theme "Animals on Land" to stimulate the beginning reading abilities of children aged 5-6 years which was carried out at Kindergarten Kartika II-1 Palembang. This development uses a research and development (RnD) development model with a modification of the tessmer evaluation model. One-To-One Evaluation stage and Small Group Evaluation stage. Data collection techniques use walkthroughs and observations. The expert review results for material validity were 98% in the very valid category and the media validity results were 95% in the very valid category. From the results of the validity of the material and media, an average of 97% was categorized as very valid. At the One-To-One Evaluation stage it involved 3 children with a result of 95% in the very practical category and at the Small Group Evaluation stage it involved 9 children with a result of 95% in the very practical category. The results from the One-To-One Evaluation stage and the Small Group Evaluation stage obtained an average of 96% which was categorized as very practical. This research only reached the Small Group Evaluation stage because it was only to see the validity and practicality of a product. Based on the results of all the stages that have been carried out, it can be concluded that the media creativity book with the theme "Animals on Land" to stimulate the beginning reading abilities of children aged 5-6 years is declared valid and practical, so that it can be applied and used in the teaching and learning process.
