PERENCANAAN DAN PERANCANGAN PUSAT KULINER DAN OLEH-OLEH DI KAWASAN TANGGO RAJO KOTA JAMBI DENGAN PENDEKATAN ARSITEKTUR TEPIAN AIR
Tanggo Rajo area in Jambi City is popular as a recreational destination by the Batanghari River to enjoy culinary with panoramic views of the river and Gentala Arasy Bridge. However, the lack of management and arrangement of the street vendors disturbs the comfort of visitors. Therefore, a design is needed that applies zoning arrangements of areas such as culinary areas, souvenirs and public spaces that can be easily accessed using the waterfront architecture concept. This area is designed by dividing two building masses, on the main building and the other building there are various kinds of culinary stalls and souvenirs. The design orientation focuses on the Batanghari riverbank which is beautified by a floating garden. The application of traditional motifs is applied to buildings such as the Siginjai Keris motif, woven and modified motifs commonly found in the Kajang Lako Traditional Houses. In some parts of the building roof, air access is made to support cross ventilation. The existence of the Batanghari River is responded with a dining area facing the river view and a building with a stage structure so as not to reduce the water catchment area. There is a floating garden that functions as an aesthetic element as well as a filter from wetland construction that can improve river water quality. This area is expected to become an iconic recreation area in Jambi City.
