PERANCANGAN PUSAT UMKM JAMBI DENGAN PENDEKATAN ARSITEKTUR HEMAT ENERGI
Jambi City is one of the cities in Jambi province and is divided by the longest river on the island of Sumatra, the Batang Hari river. This strategic position involves the city of Jambi in the framework of economic cooperation or what is called the Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle (IMT-GT). Thus, providing opportunities for Jambi Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to develop their potential in the service, culinary, agro-industry, agriculture, livestock and fashion sectors, as well as batik, honey and coffee as products that have penetrated the global market. Based on data from the Jambi Central Bureau of Statistics, the positive growth in the MSME sector each year reflects great potential for stronger economic contributions. Creating an ecosystem that stimulates collaboration, innovation, and business growth is an urgency in designing the Jambi MSME Center, with consideration of physical and thermal comfort, and environmental sustainability. To maintain the smooth running of Jambi MSME activities, an energy-efficient architectural approach is needed through passive design in buildings. This passive design can run optimally with the availability of natural resources such as open space. Climate change also urges the existence of open space in the design of an inclusive Jambi MSME Center. So that allowing interaction with nature and unhindered exploration can create an ideal stage in knitting and reviving Jambi's cultural heritage through the creativity produced by Jambi MSME players.
