AKTIVITAS ANTIBAKTERI EKSTRAK ETANOL TUMBUHAN BUNDUNG (ACTINOSCRIPUS GROSUSS) TERHADAP BAKTERI SALMONELLA TYPHI DAN SUMBANGANNYA PADA PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI SMA
This study aims to test the antibacterial effectiveness of ethanol extract of the plant (Actinoscirpus grossus) against the growth of Salmonella typhi and determine its Minimum Inhibition Concentration (KHM). The study used an experimental method with a Complete Random Design (RAL) and data were analyzed using the One Way ANOVA test. The antibacterial test was carried out using the disc diffusion method (Kirby-Bauer) with extract concentrations of 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25% (g/v), while the KHM test used the liquid dilution method with concentrations of 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4% (g/v). The results showed that ethanol extract of the bundung plant had a significant effect in inhibiting Salmonella typhi, with the most effective concentration of 5% resulting in an average inhibition zone of 11.43 mm. The minimum inhibition concentration is in the range of 0–1%. These results show that ethanol extract of the plant is effective as an antibacterial against Salmonella typhi. The results of this research were developed into a teaching module containing LKPD on the learning outcomes of Living Creature Diversity and its Role in high school biology learning Phase E/Class X with validation results in the form of a kappa coefficient value of 0.64 which shows a good category so that it is suitable for use as teaching material
