EVALUASI PENGELOLAAN LABORATORIUM BIOLOGI DI SMA BATURAJA, KABUPATEN OGAN KOMERING ULU, SUMATERA SELATAN
Laboratories are important facilities in senior high schools that support the learning process, but their management is often neglected, resulting in limited availability of equipment and infrastructure. This study aims to examine the management of biology laboratories in Senior High School Baturaja, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, South Sumatra, based on the guidelines of the Minister of National Education Regulation No. 24 of 2007 and No. 26 of 2008. The method used is descriptive qualitative with the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model. The research sample consisted of four schools selected using probability sampling techniques from 13 accredited A and B high schools. Data collection techniques included questionnaires, observation, and documentation. The results showed that the laboratories in Senior High School Baturaja, in terms of the completeness of laboratory facilities and infrastructure, had not yet met the standards (47%); qualified laboratory personnel were not adequately available (51%); the condition of the laboratories was already good (72%); laboratory administration was in the fairly good category (61%); and occupational health and safety facilities in the laboratories were still lacking (45%). It can be concluded that the management of biology laboratories in Senior High School Baturaja, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, South Sumatera is already fairly good (55%), but further improvements are needed so that the laboratories can function optimally in supporting the biology learning process.
