KARAKTERISTIK KACANG HIJAI (VIGNA RAIATA L.) BUTIRAN PADA LINGKUNGAN LAHAN BASAH
This study aims to analyze the changes in the physical properties of mung bean (Vigna radiata L.) seeds during storage in a wetland environment. The research was conducted by measuring the dimensions and diameter of mung bean seeds, calculating roundness, volume, and surface area, as well as measuring bulk density and true density. Additionally, the study calculated pore volume (porosity), total mass, and the angle of friction of mung bean seeds at various moisture levels. The research method used was experimental with a quantitative approach. Mung bean samples were stored in a wetland environment with different moisture levels, namely 8%, 9%, and 10%. Measurements were carried out using tools such as digital calipers, analytical balances, and the liquid displacement method with silicon oil. The results showed that changes in moisture content significantly affected the physical properties of mung bean seeds, including diameter, surface area, volume, and roundness. Keywords: Mung beans, wetlands, water content, physical properties, density, pororsity, friction angle
