JARAK PEMBASAHAN DARI EMITTER JENIS SUMBU ON-LINE PADA BEBERAPA KERAPATAN MASSA MEDIA CAMPURAN ULTISOL DAN ARANG SEKAM PADI
This study aims to determine the effect of planting media density between rice husk charcoal and Ultisol soil on the Wetting Distribution Distance of the On Line Wick Emitter. The study was conducted from February 2025 to April 2025 at the Soil and Water Engineering Laboratory, Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The method used in this study was Randomized Block Design (RAK) consisting of 3 levels of treatment of planting media density of Ultisol and rice husk charcoal mixture with a ratio of 1:1 (v/v). The treatments tested were P1 with a density of (0.7 g.cm-3), P2 with a density of (0.8 g.cm-3), and P3 with a density of (0.9 g.cm-3). The parameters measured in this study include the average Horizontal Wetting Distance (H), Vertical Wetting Distance above the Drip line (Va), Vertical Wetting Distance below the Dripline (Vb), Ratio of Horizontal to Vertical Wetting Distance above the Dripline (H/Va), and Ratio of Horizontal to Vertical Wetting Distance below the Dripline (H/Vb). From the results of the study, several conclusions can be drawn, including that the density of the planting media affects the horizontal (H) and vertical distribution distance below the drip line (Vb), but does not affect the vertical wetting distance above the dripline (Va), the H/Va ratio, and the H/Vb ratio. The mass density treatment P2 (0.8 g.cm-3) produced a fairly good horizontal wetting distance with an H/Vb ratio> 1. This means that the wetting can spread more horizontally and vertically around the emitter to distribute water evenly in the root zone.
