PERIMETER PEMBASAHAN EMITTER SUMBU JENIS ON-LINE PADA MEDIA CAMPURAN ARANG SEKAM PADI DAN ULTISOL MENGGUNAKAN SISTEM IRIGASI TETES BAWAH PERMUKAAN
This study aims to determine the best type of on-line emitter wick material by considering the wetting perimeter on a mixture of rice husk charcoal and ultisol, which was carried out at the Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University in February - April 2025. The method used was a Randomized Block Design (RAK) experiment consisting of 3 treatment levels repeated five times, which included the average Horizontal Wetting Distance (H), the average Vertical Wetting Distance above the dripline (Va), the average Vertical Wetting Distance below the dripline (Vb), and the H/Va ratio, and the H/Vb ratio. The results showed that the emitter wick material used could affect the distribution of moisture horizontally and vertically. The material of polyester fiber perimeter wetting is even to reach the root area, suitable for horticultural plants with an average value of 8.04 cm, vertical above the dripline with an average value of 6.16 cm, vertically below the dripline with an average value of 7.72 cm. The horizontal and vertical wetting ratios of the three types of emitter wick materials operated at low discharge are quite good ((H/Va and H/Vb ~1), but the type of wick material does not affect the wetting ratio above or below the dripline. The distribution of emitter uniformity (EU) of non-woven polyester fiber wicks with a value of 91.69%, in accordance with the provisions of ASABE EP405.1 (2020), the emitter uniformity value above 90% is included in the very good category.
