EVALUASI VISUAL DAN FUNGSIONAL SERTA PERANCANGAN ULANG ARENA FOOD COURT TAMAN G-WALK CITRALAND MUSI II PALEMBANG
Food court is a type of commercial public space used by the community for eating, socializing, and various activities. In its planning, attention to both visual and functional comfort is essential to ensure user satisfaction. This study aims to evaluate the visual and functional quality of the Food Court at G-Walk Park, CitraLand Musi II Palembang, and to propose a design based on those evaluations. The assessment used the Semantic Differential method on 15 landscape points grouped into five zones. Respondents evaluated visual and functional aspects using 10 pairs of bipolar adjectives. Results show that areas with lush vegetation and complete facilities received higher perception scores, while barren zones with limited infrastructure scored lower. Redesign efforts focused on low-scoring zones by adding tropical plants, improving circulation paths, and enhancing supporting facilities such as seating, garden lights, and wastafel. The results of the reevaluation indicated an improvement in respondent assessments, as reflected by an increase in the SD score to 2.44. It is concluded that landscape design based on visual and functional evaluation can significantly improve the comfort and attractiveness of active public spaces such as food courts.
