PENGARUH KOMPOSISI ARANG SEKAM PADA MEDIA TANAM DAN PUPUK MAJEMUK TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN BIBIT KELAPA SAWIT (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) DI PEMBIBITAN AWAL
Oil palm is an agricultural commodity that plays an important role in the economy, then efforts must be made to improve the quality that impacts production outcomes, one of which is the nursery process, including the growing media and nutrients. This study aims to determine the effect of the composition of rice husk charcoal growing media and the application of NPKMg (15:15:6:4) fertilizer doses on the growth of seedlings in the pre-nursery phase. This research was conducted at the shadow house, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra. The study was carried out from August to November 2024. The research method used was a Factorial Randomized Block Design (FRBD) consisting of two factors: Rice Husk Charcoal Composition (A) and NPKMg (15:15:6:4) Compound Fertilizer (P). Factor rice husk charcoal consisted of four treatment levels: A0 = (100% subsoil), A1 = (75% subsoil + 25% rice husk charcoal), A2 = (50% subsoil + 50% rice husk charcoal), A3 = (25% subsoil + 75% rice husk charcoal), while factor P consisted of four different fertilizer doses: P0 = 0 g/plant, P1 = 1.5 g/plant, P2 = 2.5 g/plant, P3 = 3.5 g/plant. This resulted in 16 treatments with 3 replications, there are 48 eksperimental units. Each eksperimental consisted of 3 plants, resulting in 144 plants in total. The observed parameters included plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, leaf area, leaf greenness, root length, soil pH, fresh shoot weight, dry shoot weight, fresh root weight, and dry root weight. The results showed that there was no interaction between the two factors in all observation parameters. The rice husk charcoal composition had a significant effect on all parameters except fresh shoot weight, dry shoot weight, fresh root weight, and dry root weight. The application of NPKMg fertilizer doses significantly affected all observation parameters except fresh root weight, dry root weight, and soil pH.
