EVALUASI KECERNAAN FRAKSI SERAT PADA SILASE RUMPUT RAJA (Pennisetum purpuphoides) DIKOMBINASIKAN DENGAN LAMTORO (Leucaena leucocephala) SECARA IN VITRO
The success of a livestock farming business is influenced by several factors, particularly the availability of feed. High-quality forage, such as king grass as a high-fiber energy source and lamtoro as a protein source, plays a crucial role in meeting livestock nutritional needs. However, limited land availability poses a challenge for forage cultivation. A solution to this issue is the utilization of silage technology. This study aims was to evaluated the digestibility of fiber fractions produced from silage made from a combination of king grass and lamtoro through in vitro methods. The research was conducted from October to December 2024 at the Experimental Cage of the Animal Science Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, and continued at the Laboratory of Nutrition and Animal Feed, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya Universtiy. The experimental design used in this study was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with three replications. The treatments applied in this study were P0 (100% King Grass), P1 (60% King Grass: 40% Lamtoro), P2 (70% King Grass: 30% Lamtoro), and P3 (80% King Grass: 20% Lamtoro). Data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and further tested with Duncan’s multiple range test (DMRT). The results showed that the silage combinations had a significant effect (P
