Livestok welfare is highly dependent on feed, some of which can be untilized are king grass contains an important source of energy for ruminants in nutritional needs and mainten activities in livestock production. King grass was more effective when combined with lamtoro, because lamtoro has a high protein content so that it can increase weight gain and nutritional value to livestock. During the dry season farmers have difficulty finding forage feed, silage preservation can be utilized as a supply of feed during the dry season. Silage quality can be seen from aerobic conditions such as pH, ammonia and volatil fatty acids or VFA. This research aimed was to study the in vitro fermentation quality of king grass silage combined with lamtoro. This research was conducted from October to December 2024 in the Experimental Cage of Animal Husbandry Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University and analyzed in the Animal Nutrition and Food Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. This research was conducted using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments P0 (100% King Grass), P1 (60% King Grass + 40% Lamtoro), P2 (70% King Grass + 30% Lamtoro), P3 (80% King Grass + 20% Lamtoro) with 3 replications. The observed variables were pH, total Volatile Fatty Acid (VFA), ammonia concentration (NH3). The results showed that the comparison of the proportion of king grass and lamtoro had a significant effect on the concentration of VFA and NH3, at pH concentration showed no effect on the concentration of ammonia (NH3). Keywords: In Vitro, King Grass, Lamtoro
