This study aims to analyze the effect of varying glass powder particle sizes on the sorptivity of lightweight concrete. The research involved testing sorptivity, compressive strength, setting time, slump flow, and density of concrete samples using glass powder sizes ranging from 10 mesh to 50 mesh. The results showed that finer glass powder particles tended to produce lower sorptivity values. The highest sorptivity was recorded at 10 mesh, reaching 0.002637 mm/s1/2 with a porosity of 47.405%, while the lowest sorptivity was observed at 50 mesh, with a value of 0.002185 mm/s1/2 and porosity of 20.652%. This indicates a direct relationship between porosity and water absorption in concrete. All measured sorptivity values met the recommended limit (< 0.2 mm/s1/2), but showed an inverse correlation with compressive strength. The concrete with 10 mesh glass powder had the lowest compressive strength at 2.58 MPa. Additionally, coarser particle sizes led to shorter setting times, lower slump flow, and reduced density. The initial and final setting times for the 10 mesh samples were 228 minutes and 431 minutes, respectively, with a workability of 76.73%. The average density over 28 days was 1274 kg/m³, which is below the ASTM C567 standard range of 1,440–1,840 kg/m³. Therefore, the lightweight concrete produced in this study does not meet the minimum compressive strength standard of 17 MPa for structural use, indicating its suitability only for non-structural applications.
