KESEJAHTERAAN DI ASIAN EMERGING ECONOMIES COUNTRIES: PENGELUARAN KESEHATAN, PENDIDIKAN DAN MILITER
Developing Asian countries have been growing at a faster pace than developed countries. Asia's challenge, as it becomes more rich and interdependent, is to extend the advantages of regional cooperation and maintain its significant and positive role as a global economic leader. The purpose of the research is to figure out how government spending in the sectors of health, education, and the military impacts welfare in Asian emerging economies. This study applies the Fixed Effect Model estimation method to panel data from 7 countries in the Asian Emerging Economies in 2015-2022. The estimation results show that the variable of health expenditure has a significant positive effect on the welfare, the variable of education expenditure has a significant negative effect on the welfare, this is due to the inappropriateness of the allocation of education budget funds. And variable military spending also has a significant negative effect on welfare in Asian emerging economies, as almost all countries prioritize their spending on other sectors that are more useful to society such as education and health. Thus, the Government as a policy maker, is expected to manage health, education, and military expenditures as efficiently as possible in order to improve welfare among the community.
