PERTUMBUHAN TUKIK PENYU HIJAU (CHELONIA MYDAS) PADA PEMBERIAN PAKAN BERBEDA DI LOKASI KONSERVASI PENYU ALUN UTARA DESA PEKIK NYARING BENGKULU TENGAH
Central Bengkulu is one of the regions in Bengkulu Province where sea turtles come ashore to nest and lay eggs. It has a coastline of approximately 28.5 km and is also home to a sea turtle conservation effort located at the Alun Utara Turtle Hatchery in Pekik Nyaring Village, Central Bengkulu Regency. This study aims to analyze the effect of different types of feed on the growth of Green Turtle (Chelonia mydas) hatchlings in the Alun Utara Turtle Conservation Area, Pekik Nyaring Village, Central Bengkulu. The research was conducted over 8 weeks using an experimental method with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD), consisting of six treatments and three replications. The treatments involved three types of natural feed: Bleberan fish (Thryssa sp), Rebon shrimp (Acetes indicus), and seaweed (Sargassum sp), each with two different doses, namely 5% and 10% of the hatchlings' biomass. The observed parameters included the absolute growth in carapace length, width, and weight, as well as the Spesific Growth Rate (SGR) and the growth pattern of the length-weight relationship. The results showed that different types of feed had a significant effect on hatchling growth. All treatments exhibited a negative allometric growth pattern. The right type of feed for the growth of Green Turtle hatchlings (Chelonia mydas) with different feeds and doses occurred in the treatment of 5% Bleberan Fish feed (K1) and 10% Shrimp feed (P4).
