Indonesia is an agrarian country that produces a variety of agricultural waste in large quantities, such as rice husks, livestock manure, and plant residues. The utilization of these wastes has not been optimal, which may lead to environmental pollution. However, if managed properly, these wastes can be converted into organic fertilizer, which can improve soil fertility sustainably. CV Sabar Bersaudara is a business unit engaged in the processing of organic fertilizer by utilizing rice husks and animal manure as the main raw materials. The fertilizer production process involves three main machines: a shredder, a sifter, and a residue separator. The efficiency of the process is greatly influenced by the performance of each machine, so systematic evaluation of their operational performance is necessary. This study aims to evaluate the performance of the shredder, sifter, and residue separator at the Organic Fertilizer Processing Unit (UPPO) at CV Sabar Bersaudara. The research was conducted in Bringinwareng Village, Winong District, Pati Regency, from December 2024 to February 2025. The method used was a quantitative experiment with three repetitions, each lasting one hour. The results of the study showed that the shredder operated stably at 1440 rpm and showed better consistency at 2880 rpm. The sifter exhibited high separation efficiency with an average yield of 97.05%, with relatively small variations in the test results, i.e., 96.54%, 96.43%, and 98.19%. The residue separator experienced a decrease in speed from 1486.4 rpm without load to 1322.23 rpm with load, but remained effective in separating residues. Based on these results, it can be concluded that proper operational parameter settings can improve the efficiency of organic fertilizer processing and support the implementation of sustainable agriculture.
