PENGARUH KECERDASAN EMOSIONAL TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS PADA MATA PELAJARAN EKONOMI KELAS XI SMA NEGERI 1 MESUJI RAYA
This study aims to investigate the influence of emotional intelligence on students' critical thinking skills in economics learning for grade XI at SMA Negeri 1 Mesuji Raya. The research method used is quantitative with an ex-post facto approach. Data were collected through questionnaires to measure emotional intelligence and tests to assess critical thinking skills, then analyzed using simple linear regression. The results indicate that emotional intelligence significantly influences critical thinking skills, as evidenced by Fcalculated ≥ Ftable (36.078 ≥ 4.13), leading to the rejection of H₀ and the acceptance of Hα. The regression equation (Y = 0.0095 + 0.4532X) suggests that each one-point increase in emotional intelligence contributes to a 0.4532 increase in critical thinking skills. The coefficient of determination, which stands at 52.23%, indicates that emotional intelligence has a substantial impact on critical thinking, while the remaining 47.77% is influenced by other factors.
