PENGARUH VIDEO EDUKASI MEDIS (MELINDUNGI DIRI SENDIRI) TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN SISWA TENTANG SELF PROTECTION DI SDN 25 PRABUMULIH
Cases of sexual violence to the children in Indonesia have increased every year. Sexual violence to the children, both boys and girls, have negative impacts, including psychological and physical impacts. Therefore, knowledge about self-protection skills in children is needed to avoid sexual violence. This study aims to determine the effect of MEDIS educational videos on students' knowledge about self-protection at SDN 25 Prabumulih. This research was a quantitative research using a quasi-experimental research design with a nonequivalent control group design with 2 research groups were the intervention group and the control group. The sample of this study was selected using simple random sampling and purposive sampling techniques with a sample size was 66 respondents consisting of 33 respondents in the intervention group and 33 respondents in the control group. Data collection used a questionnaire sheet of 20 questions regarding self-protection knowledge. The results of the Mc Nemar test on knowledge before and after in the intervention group were known p value = 0.000 and the control group was known p value = 0.727. While the results of the Mc Nemar test on the difference in knowledge after being given intervention in the intervention group and the control group (not given intervention) obtained p value = 0.000, Therefore, it can be concluded that there was an effect of MEDIS educational videos on students' knowledge about self-protection. Thus, MEDIS educational video media can be applied as a learning medium that can improve self-protection knowledge in elementary school students. Researchers hope that self-protection education can be developed with other learning media.
