PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN PENDINGIN PASIF MENGGUNAKAN SABUT KELAPA PADA PANEL MONOCRYSTALLINE 50 WP TERHADAP EFISIENSI PANEL SURYA
Energy sources such as solar offer great potential as an environmentally friendly and sustainable alternative. The main purpose of solar panel coolers is to reduce the operational temperature of the panels, prevent reduced efficiency due to overheating, and extend the life of the solar panels themselves. This research explores the potential of coconut fiber as a passive coolant in solar panels. The focus of this research is to look at the effect of adding passive cooling made from coconut fiber, to see whether it can affect the efficiency of solar panels. The research methodology was carried out by designing a passive cooling design and method, which uses coconut fiber as a passive coolant. Research and data collection was carried out for 10 days with notes taken every 30 minutes. It is known that from the research results on day 4 solar panels with passive cooling produced an average efficiency of 4.51% while solar panels without cooling produced an average efficiency 4.14%. From these results it can be seen that passive cooling made from coconut fiber can affect efficiency and also the efficiency value is better than without cooling, this is because the current, voltage and power are greater.
