ANALISIS PROTOTYPE HYBRID SOLAR PANEL DAN THERMOELECTRIC GENERATOR (TEG) DENGAN PENAMBAHAN COPPER PLATE PADA HOTSIDE TEG
Solar energy utilization generally uses solar panel equipment, but solar panels will release heat so the utilization of solar energy is suboptimal. A solar panel and thermoelectric generator (TEG) hybrid can overcome this problem. To increase the TEG temperature difference (∆T) value, it could be realized by adding a plate on the hotside of the TEG and a heatsink on the coolside of the TEG. In this research, three kinds of prototypes were tested, which were hybrid solar panel type monocrystalline 2.4 Wp and TEG module with the addition of copper plate, aluminum plate, and without the addition of plate. The highest average values of ∆T, voltage, current, and output power generated from testing the prototype with copper plate respectively are 8.63 ⁰C, 11.57 V, 0.17 A, and 2.02 W. Furthermore, the prototype with aluminum plate respectively are 6.11 ⁰C, 11.57 V, 0.16 A, and 1.71 W. The highest average values of ∆T, voltage, current, and output power generated from testing the prototype without plate respectively are 5.80 ⁰C, 10.79 V, 0.15 A, and 1.63 W. In each parameter testing, the prototype with copper plate has a superior value compared to the others. This is caused by the high conductivity value of copper which affects the ∆T TEG value, thus generating greater voltage and current.
