Serving a food menu is a method for serving food to children with compositions that are arranged and arranged in an attractive way. Serving food that is not good or not suitable can not only reduce a person's appetite but can also cause contamination by germs. One effort that can be made is by conducting health education using books. This research aims to determine the effect of SIMETA book education on mothers' knowledge about serving food menus for preschool children. This research is a quantitative research with a pre-experimental one group pretest�post test design type. The population in this study were mothers who had preschool�age children at PAUD KB Indah Mulya, from which a sample of 29 respondents was taken. Mothers' knowledge about serving food menus was measured using a knowledge questionnaire. The results of this research showed that the characteristics of the respondents were that most of them were aged 26-35 years (75.9%) and as many as (41.4%) had their last education at junior high school level and before the intervention was given, the majority of respondents had less knowledge, namely 15 people. (51.7%) and after being given the intervention the majority of respondents had good knowledge, namely 26 respondents (89.7%). Statistical analysis in this study used the marginal homogeneity test. Based on the results of the analysis, a p value of 0.000 (≤0.05) was obtained, which shows that the SIMETA book media has a significant effect on mothers' knowledge about serving food menus. The results of this research recommend that the use of SIMETA book media can be an alternative media choice in increasing mothers' knowledge about serving food menus.
