EVALUASI KESESUAIAN LAHAN UNTUK TANAMAN NANAS (ANANAS COMOSUS L.MERR) DI TAMAN FIRDAUS UNIVERSITAS SRIWIJAYA
The pineapple plant (Ananas comosus L. Merr.) is one of the horticultural plants that continues to be developed in Indonesia. The aim of this research is to obtain actual land suitability data values for pineapple plants and determine the potential values that influence land suitability for pineapple plants. This research activity was carried out in October 2023 – January 2024 at Taman Firdaus, Sriwijaya University. Soil characterization was carried out at the Soil Chemistry, Fertility and Biology Laboratory, Soil Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The method used in this research is a detailed level survey using a base map with a scale of 1: 5,000 with the results of land suitability assessments up to sub-class level. The land area used in this research is 6 Ha. By taking 6 sample points on pineapple plantation land. The suitability of the actual land for pineapple plants at the research location is class S3 with a land area of 5 Ha with limiting factors of pH, Texture and C-Organic, N with a land area of 1 Ha with limiting factors of Texture and pH. The results of the potential land suitability assessment with an area of 6 Ha mean that the research location has sufficient land suitability for pineapple growth, after overcoming the limiting factors of C-Organic of around -299,73 kg/ha, pH with the addition of lime of around 822,99 kg/ha, and N-Total improvements were made by adding Nitrogen Fertilizer such as Urea Fertilizer around 168,65kg/ha.
