On the interconnecting road II of South Sumatra, there is Petudung Bridge which is a steel frame bridge that has been built since 1999. Due to the long bridge condition and the bridge serves relatively high traffic movement, it is necessary to check the condition of the bridge. The purpose of this study is to determine the functional weight of each of the components of the top bridge, to assess the condition of the Petudung Bridge and provide a recommendation for handling based on the value of the condition on Petudung Bridge. The method used in this research is by using Bridge Management System (BMS), Director General of Highways 1993 when conducting inspection of bridge condition with inspector from SNVT P2JN of South Sumatera Province. Meanwhile, to determine the functional weight of bridge building components by using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). The number of respondents selected is 17 people who are the parties who play a role in the management of the bridge. The respondents were 7 respondents from BBPJN V, 5 respondents from SNVT P2JN of South Sumatera Province, 3 respondents from Dept. of Public Works of Bina Marga of South Sumatera Province, and 2 respondents from bridge operators. From the results of research conducted, the largest functional weight in the building over the bridge is on the skeletal component with a weight of 0.489, floor system 0.217, 0.144 plot, 0.116 expansiont joint and 0.035 for parapet. The condition value on the building over the Petudung Bridge is 1,259, which when rounded will be 1 (NK = 1). This indicates that the damage to the building on the Petudung Bridge is light. The stability, strength, safety, security and comfort of traffic on the bridge are guaranteed. However, structural forces have entered an insecure condition and are at risk of leading to more severe damage. The handling recommendation for Petudung Bridge is to clean the bridge section, especially on the frame part and also the exposed broadcast. In addition to the cleaning action, repainting on the frame and stem should be done considering the component has been peeling paint and corroded part of the surface
