Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) is a malignant tumor that develops from squamous cells of the epithelium of the skin, conjunctiva, and cornea. Risk factors for SCC include environmental and geographical factors. The prognosis for SCC is good if detected early and treated adequately before it metastasizes.
