Climate change has a significant impact on the agricultural sector, including chili farming. Chili is a commodity with high economic value, but is strongly influenced by weather and climate conditions. Changes in rainfall patterns, temperature, and water availability affect the productivity and income of chili farmers. Therefore, mitigation and adaptation strategies are needed to overcome the challenges posed by climate change. thus the Research Objectives are as follows: 1) Analyzing the impact of climate change on the economic aspects of chili farming in Sukapulih Village. 2) Analyzing the impact of climate change on the non-economic aspects of chili farming in Sukapulih Village. 3) Identify adaptation strategies of chili farmers in facing climate change. 4) Identifying mitigation techniques undertaken by chili farmers in the face of climate change. Then Method This research was conducted using a survey method in November 2024 in Sukapulih Village, Pedamaran District. Samples were taken using simple random sampling technique with a total of 38 chili farmers. Data were collected through interviews and questionnaires, then analyzed using t-test and Likert Scale. Then based on the results of the research that has been done, the following conclusions are obtained: 1) Climate change has a significant impact on chili farming from an economic point of view, namely a decrease in productivity of 5,071 Kg / Mt / Lg and a decrease in income of IDR 18,780,171 / Mt / Lg. 2) Climate change has a significant impact on chili farming in non-economic terms such as affecting farmers' social conditions. Such as affecting the social conditions of farmers, such as increasing their vulnerability to poverty and increasing social tension due to decreased yields. 3) Adaptations made by chili farmers in Sukapulih Village include adjustments to cropping patterns including intercropping to regulate planting time, crop types, and cultivation techniques to suit weather and climate conditions. The selection of superior varieties and the construction of water reservoirs (canals) to prevent water crisis in the dry season is also one of the adaptations made by farmers. 4) Mitigation carried out by farmers includes avoiding burning shrubs, using mulch to maintain soil moisture, performing crop rotation, increasing understanding related to climate change. Keywords: adaptation, climate change, mitigation
